This 1 Paise copper coin is from reign of Shri Sayajirao Gaekwad dated 1891AD.
He was the first Indian ruler to introduce, in 1906, compulsory and free primary education in his state, placing his territory far in advance of contemporary British India.
I got this coin from my grandma, hence I assume this as a genuine coin. I consider this as a blessing and everlasting token of love from her.
