From Exhibition: Pune - Dec. 2011


Due to a rich history of Hindustan spanning across several centuries, it is not possible for a normal coin collector to have all coins in his/her collection, specially those coins belonging to the historical period and are made up of precious metals like Gold and Silver. The reasons are: they are scarce and hence very costly to possess. So, what is the source to at least see those coins if not possess? The answer is Exhibitions!

I was lucky to see some of gold coins from the period of Vijaynagar empire ( Devagiri), The great warrior Chatrapati Shivaji, Mughal Sultan Jehangir and some from British era in an exibition organised in Pune in Dec. 2011. Below are their snapshots for you:
