Commemorative coins are coins that are issued to commemorate some particular event or issue. Indian commemorative coins were issued from 1964 onwards. Such coins have a distinct design with reference to the occasion on which they were issued.Indian commemorative Coins are very interesting to discuss because they cover many topics like Indian Independence Struggle, War, Peace, Wildlife, Vegetation, Great Personalities, Various Events and Organizations. The highest value of Indian coin is 150 rupees.

After the Independence, India was striving hard in all aspects of human development including the basic needs like food,shelter and Work.
