Forestry For Development 1985

To bring about a greater awareness among people on the importance of forests to human life thereby highlight the need for conservation of forest and wild life, a 25 paise coin was issued in 1985.

The Obverse of the coins shows a woman weaving a basket from bamboo strips, a tree, a deer and a flying bird which all together suggest a close relationship between human, wildlife and forests.
